Tunisia and Congo Boost Cooperation in Mental Health and Youth Services

As part of efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation, Tunisian Health Minister, Mustapha Ferjani, received Congolese Minister of Youth, Training, and Employment Hugues Ngouelondele on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, to discuss joint initiatives in mental health and youth care.

Key outcomes included:

  • Hosting 15 Congolese trainees at Razi Hospital starting in September.

  • Deploying Tunisian experts to Congo for continued collaboration.

  • Creating a legal framework for long-term health cooperation.

The visit also saw the signing of a partnership agreement with the Tunisian Addiction Medicine Association, focused on training and psychosocial support for a new care center in Congo.
