World Bank Approves $125 Million in Funding for Tunisia

The World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors approved $125.16 million in funding for Tunisia, on Wednesday, including a $17.16 million grant from the Pandemic Fund. The support aims to strengthen Tunisia’s health system through a new project focused on improving access to high-quality, resilient, and responsive healthcare services.

The initiative targets pandemic preparedness, emergency care, modernization of primary healthcare, and digital governance. It will benefit the entire population and frontline health workers by improving hospital services, disease surveillance, and training in emergency response and digital health systems.
