Tunisia Welcomes Congo-M23 Agreement Signed in Doha

Tunisia has expressed its satisfaction with the signing of an Agreement of Principles on July 19, 2025, in Doha between the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the M23 movement, according toa statement by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

The agreement, reached under the auspices of Qatar, marks a step toward direct negotiations between the two sides. Tunisia reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful conflict resolution and dialogue, expressing hope that the deal will help build trust, end the long-standing conflict, and preserve the DRC’s unity and sovereignty.
