Chinese Tourist Arrivals to Tunisia Rise by 15% in 2025

Chinese tourist arrivals to Tunisia rose by 15.3% in the first seven months of 2025 compared to last year, reaching over 24,000 visitors.

In July alone, arrivals surged by 30.9%, despite the lack of direct flights. According to Anouar Chtoui, Tunisia’s tourism representative in Beijing, the country’s cultural and natural attractions—such as Carthage, Hammamet, and the Sahara—are increasingly appealing to Chinese travelers.

Tunisia’s tourism representative also stressed the need for a direct air route to boost growth, noting Chinese tourists also favor shopping for high-quality traditional products.
