Tunisia Hit by Extreme Heatwave, Tozeur Records 45°C

The Tunisian Observatory for Climate and Weather reported on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, that the country is facing exceptionally high temperatures across multiple regions.

Tozeur registered the highest temperature at 45°C, followed closely by Jendouba and Kébili with 44°C. Several other areas also endured scorching heat: Béja, Kairouan, Remada, and Tataouine recorded 43°C, while Bizerte (Sidi Hamad), Médenine, Siliana, Sidi Bouzid, and Gabès Airport reported 42°C. In Gafsa and Kef, temperatures reached 41°C.
