Iraq Renovates Al-Rashid Street as Baghdad Named Arab Tourism Capital 2025

As Baghdad prepares to become the Arab Tourism Capital for 2025, Iraq has launched a project to renovate Al-Rashid Street, the city’s oldest and most iconic thoroughfare. The initiative, part of the « Baghdad Pulse » program, seeks to restore the historic charm of the street and enhance its appeal to visitors.

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani stressed that the project aims to honor Baghdad’s heritage while boosting tourism and the national economy by improving services for visitors.
