Egypt’s Rafah Crossing Prepares to Deliver Aid to Gaza After Ceasefire

Intense preparations are underway in Egypt’s Rafah to facilitate the entry of substantial humanitarian aid into Gaza as soon as the Rafah border crossing opens and the recently announced ceasefire in Gaza takes effect. In addition to preparing for the reception of injured individuals, aid trucks are already lined up on the Egyptian side of the crossing, loaded with tons of relief supplies and essential food items, ready to be transported into the besieged region.

In Cairo, Egypt’s Minister of Health, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, held a meeting with senior ministry officials to ensure the readiness of the healthcare system in North Sinai and neighboring governorates to receive injured individuals from Gaza. This comes amid ongoing preparations to open the Rafah crossing following the ceasefire agreement.
