Southern California Wildfires: Thousands Under Evacuation as New Fire Erupts

A new fire, the Sepulveda Fire, erupted near Los Angeles’ Interstate 405 on Wednesday, burning 40 acres and prompting brief evacuations.

This comes as the Hughes Fire in Los Angeles and Ventura counties remains out of control, burning over 10,000 acres with only 14% containment. Thousands are under evacuation orders, and fire crews are battling high winds and dry conditions.

Authorities have issued a red flag warning through Friday, urging residents to stay alert as firefighting efforts continue.
