Tunisian-Swiss Cooperation Boosts Employment and Integration

On February 28, 2025, Tunisian Minister of Employment Riadh Choued met with Swiss Ambassador Josef Renggli to discuss strengthening cooperation in employment and vocational training. The meeting focused on enhancing programs like “Takoun” and “Afaq,” which facilitate professional exchanges between Tunisia and Switzerland.

In the same context, Minister Choued oversaw the signing of a partnership agreement between the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training and Switzerland’s State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, represented by Ambassador Renggli. The agreement, which runs until 2028, aims to integrate and secure jobs for 2,000 jobseekers from underprivileged areas with high unemployment rates.

Minister Choued emphasized that this agreement aligns with the state’s social role, ensuring economic inclusion for all job seekers, through a collaborative approach between the public and private sectors.
