African Union Expels Israeli Envoy Amid Ongoing G-a-z-a Conflict

Addis Ababa – The Israeli Ambassador to Ethiopia was expelled from the African Union’s annual summit in Addis Ababa following protests from several member states. The move came amid growing African outrage over Israel’s actions in Gaza.

The ambassador faced immediate opposition upon attempting to attend a session, with African representatives calling his presence provocative. He was eventually escorted out under heavy security.

The incident highlights ongoing tensions between Israel and the African Union, despite Israel gaining observer status in 2021—a move opposed by countries like South Africa and Algeria.
