Amid rising trade tensions with Washington, the Chinese government has advised its citizens to carefully assess risks before traveling to the United States. The advisory, issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, cited deteriorating trade relations and growing security concerns.
According to Bloomberg, the warning follows Beijing’s retaliation to new U.S. tariffs with an 84% tax on American imports—an escalation that has shaken global markets and intensified the trade dispute.
Separately, China’s Ministry of Education urged students to reconsider studying in certain U.S. states, referencing a new law passed in Ohio and reflecting concerns over the safety of Chinese nationals in the U.S.
