Turkiye Affirms Continued Expansion of Cooperation with Africa

Turkiye has affirmed that its cooperation with the African continent will continue to grow in the coming period through the implementation of various projects that serve the interests of the people.

This came in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, marking the 20th anniversary of Turkiye obtaining permanent observer status with the African Union on April 12, 2008.

The statement emphasized Ankara’s commitment to relations based on mutual respect, fair partnership, and the principle of shared benefit with the entire continent and all African nations.

It also noted that the upcoming Fourth Joint Summit, scheduled for 2026, will provide an opportunity to further strengthen ties between the two sides.
