According to local authorities on Wednesday, a fierce fire erupted at a hotel in Kolkata, eastern India, taking at least 14 lives.
Police officer Manoj Kumar Verma told that the fire broke out Tuesday evening in the “Rituraj” Hotel, which is located in the middle of Kolkata.
Fire fighting teams struggled to tame the fire through–out the night and sent six fire engine teams to fight the blaze. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
