Tunisian Foreign Minister Welcomes New South African Ambassador

On May 12, 2025, Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti received Lindiwe Hendricks, the new Ambassador of South Africa to Tunisia, who presented her credentials.
Both sides highlighted the strong ties and long-standing friendship between Tunisia and South Africa, which celebrated 30 years of diplomatic relations in 2024. They reaffirmed their commitment to shared values such as liberty, justice, and solidarity.
Minister Nafti reiterated Tunisias desire to deepen bilateral cooperation and ensure the successful implementation of joint events in 2025. Both sides underlined their continuing coordination on both countries candidacies at the international and regional organisations.
Ambassador Hendricks shared her pride in representing South Africa in Tunisia and embraced the opportunity to deepen cooperation in many areas.
