On Monday May 19, 2025, the Egyptian Armed Forces announced the crash of a military aircraft, which was involved in an Air–force training exercise, this resulted in the death of the whole crew.
A military spokesperson issued a report that confirmed the crash occurred as a result of a technical defect during a training mission, and inquiries are being investigated by the appropriate authorities.
