The Palestinian delegation won the right to raise its flag at the World Health Organization following a symbolic vote at the agency’s annual meeting in Geneva on Monday.

The proposal, backed by countries including China, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, passed with 95 votes in favor, while four countries opposed it and 27 abstained.

The Palestinian ambassador expressed hope that this marks a step toward broader international recognition.
