Tunisia Renews Support for UN Mission and Political Stability in Libya

On June 27, 2025, Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Ali Nafti, met with Daniela Kroslak, UN Deputy Secretary-General and Head of the Strategic Review Team of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

During the meeting, Minister Nafti reiterated Tunisia’s strong commitment to supporting UNSMIL’s efforts in facilitating a political process aimed at achieving lasting stability in Libya. He highlighted the Strategic Review Team’s crucial role in evaluating the mission’s mandate and effectiveness in light of evolving political and humanitarian developments.

Nafti emphasized Tunisia’s readiness to back all diplomatic efforts promoting dialogue, reconciliation, and a purely Libyan-led solution, free from foreign interference.

For her part, Kroslak expressed appreciation for Tunisia’s consistent support and praised its neutral and constructive stance on Libya. She also acknowledged Tunisia’s vital role in advancing dialogue and consensus among Libyan stakeholders.
