On Thursday, July 10, 2025, Tunisian Minister of Interior Khaled Ennouri received the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, Mr. Jean-Pierre Lacroix at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The meeting highlighted the long-standing cooperation between Tunisia and the UN in peacekeeping since 1960. The discussions also emphasized and commended the Ministry of Interior’s contributions to supporting UN efforts to promote peace, security, and stability worldwide.
Minister Ennouri reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to strengthening its participation in UN missions, particularly in leadership roles. He also expressed the Ministry’s readiness to enhance joint cooperation in specialized peacekeeping training and capacity development.
