Tunisia and Iraq Sign Medicines Export Deal

On July 18, 2025, Tunisia’s Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, witnessed the signing of a partnership between Tunisian pharmaceutical company SIPHAT and Iraq’s Alqawsan Al-Ilmi, with cancer drug expert Moez Ben Ali in attendance.

The agreement aims to export Tunisian medicines to Iraq, transfer production technology, and launch new drug manufacturing lines for both Iraqi and local markets. Minister Ferjani highlighted Tunisia’s commitment to becoming a regional hub for pharmaceutical production through strategic partnerships.
