Tunis, September 11, 2025 – Minister of Industry, Mines, and Energy Fatma Thabet Chiboub met on Thursday with Philippe Orliange, Executive Director of the French Development Agency (AFD), who is currently on a working visit to Tunisia. He was accompanied by France’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Anne Guéguen.

Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the ministry and AFD, monitoring the progress of ongoing programs and projects—particularly in the energy and mining sectors—and exploring opportunities in innovation and technology. These include the Smart Grid project for STEG and future collaboration in industrial development.

Minister Chiboub emphasized the importance of accelerating project implementation and meeting deadlines to achieve the desired economic and development objectives.
