Tunisian National Guard maritime units in Bizerte, in coordination with the Navy, foiled an illegal sea crossing attempt between September 15 and 16.
Authorities rescued 26 Tunisian migrants, including women and children, off the eastern coast of Bizerte. Most of those intercepted were residents of Tunis and Bizerte.
The Maritime Intelligence Unit in Bizerte has taken charge of the legal procedures.
