Sleeping in cooler temperatures between 18.5 and 20 degrees Celsius may offer significant health benefits, according to a recent study cited by Verywell Health.

Research suggests that lower temperatures can improve sleep quality by boosting melatonin production, the hormone that signals bedtime, helping people fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.

Experts note that cooler environments also align with the body’s natural drop in core temperature at night, making it easier to drift off to sleep compared to warmer conditions.
