New Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Tunisia

Tunis, October 1, 2025 – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad,  Mohamed Ali Nafti, received Appolinaire Sawadogo, who presented his credentials as the new Ambassador of Burkina Faso to Tunisia.

Minister Nafti welcomed the appointment, recalling the 60 years of strong diplomatic ties between the two countries and highlighting the importance of implementing the outcomes of the 8th Tuniso-Burkinabè Joint Commission, which produced eight bilateral cooperation agreements. He assured Tunisia’s support in facilitating the Ambassador’s mission.

For his part, Ambassador Sawadogo expressed his commitment to strengthening cooperation, particularly in higher education, scientific research, vocational training, and health, noting Burkina Faso’s interest in benefiting from Tunisia’s expertise in these fields.
