China Opens World’s Tallest Bridge in Guizhou Province

China has inaugurated the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, now the tallest in the world at 565 meters above the river, surpassing the Beipanjiang Bridge. The 1,420-meter-long structure, built over three years, reduces travel time across the canyon from two hours to just two minutes.

Officials hailed the project as a symbol of China’s massive infrastructure investments, with Guizhou province alone hosting nearly half of the world’s 100 tallest bridges.
