The Tunisian national football team has moved up three places in the latest FIFA World Ranking, released on Friday, October 17, 2025, now ranking 43rd globally after previously holding the 46th position on September 18.
The “Carthage Eagles” are now seventh in Africa, behind Morocco (12th worldwide), Senegal (18th), Egypt (32nd), Algeria (35th), Nigeria (41st), and Côte d’Ivoire (42nd).
Tunisia secured its qualification for the 2026 World Cup—set to take place in Canada, the United States, and Mexico—after the eighth round of African qualifiers, finishing the campaign with victories over São Tomé and Príncipe (6–0) on October 10 and Namibia (3–0) on October 13.
Spain retained the top global spot, while Argentina reclaimed second place ahead of France. England, Portugal, and the Netherlands followed, while Brazil dropped to seventh. Belgium, Italy, and Germany completed the top ten.
