Tunisian physician Dr. Habiba Zahi Ben Romdhane has been ranked among the top 2% of scientists worldwide for 2025, according to Stanford University’s prestigious annual classification, as announced by the National Council of the Tunisian Order of Physicians.
The Stanford ranking, covering 22 fields and 176 sub-disciplines, highlights global scientific impact. Dr. Ben Romdhane’s inclusion reflects her strong contribution to international medical research.
A professor of preventive medicine in Tunis, she heads a research lab on epidemiology and cardiovascular diseases. She is also a former Health Minister, WHO expert, and trained in public health at Laval University and the University of Chicago.
Her career includes several honors, such as the Maghrebian Medical Sciences Award, and she co-founded numerous scientific associations. This recognition also highlights Tunisia’s role in advancing global medical research.
