On October 21, 2025, Tunisia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, received U.S. Ambassador Joey Hood for a farewell visit marking the end of his tenure in Tunisia.
Minister Nafti praised the ambassador’s efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the United States in key sectors such as the economy, trade, and science, based on mutual respect and shared interests.
Ambassador Hood expressed gratitude to Tunisian authorities for their support during his mission and highlighted the strong potential for future collaboration in economic, scientific, security, aviation, and maritime sectors.
