Tunisia and India Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Tunis, November 13, 2025 — Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Ben Ayed met with India’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Devyani Uttam Khobragade, to discuss ways to boost bilateral relations.

Ben Ayed congratulated the Ambassador on presenting her credentials and reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to supporting her mission. He highlighted the strong historical ties between the two countries and the shared will to deepen cooperation in economic, scientific, and cultural fields.

Preparations are underway for major bilateral events in 2026, including the 13th Tunisian-Indian Joint Commission and the 6th Political Consultations. Ambassador Khobragade, for her part, expressed India’s determination to enhance trade, investment, and tourism cooperation with Tunisia.
