Senior Chinese Official Visits Tunis to Advance Bilateral Relations

Tunis, 27 November 2025 — Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, met today with H.E. MU Hong, Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC and Head of the China-Africa Friendship Group, who is on a working visit to Tunisia from 26–28 November.
The Minister emphasized the strong historical ties between Tunisia and China and noted the positive momentum in bilateral relations, particularly since the establishment of a strategic partnership during President Saied’s state visit to Beijing in May 2024.
He stressed the importance of continuing joint development initiatives and praised China’s role in enhancing Sino-Arab and Sino-African cooperation.
MU Hong highlighted Tunisia’s cultural heritage and strategic location, and affirmed China’s readiness to support priority development projects and deepen the partnership between the two nation
