Tunisian Issam Fatoui Elected to INTERPOL Executive Committee

Marrakech, November 2025 — Issam Fatoui, Director General of Public Security, has been elected as Africa’s representative to INTERPOL’s Executive Committee for the 2025–2028 term. The election took place during the 93rd General Assembly of the international police organization, held in Marrakech from November 24 to 27, 2025.

Fatoui secured the position following a competitive vote involving multiple seats within the committee. Tunisia’s Ministry of Interior described the result as a recognition of the country’s active role and contributions to international police cooperation.
