Tunisian and Algerian Foreign Ministers Hold Talks in Algiers

Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, met with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf on the sidelines of the International Conference on Colonial Crimes in Africa and the 12th Annual Forum on Peace and Security in Africa, held in Algiers from November 30 to December 2, 2025.

The two officials discussed peace, security, and development across the African continent, highlighting the importance of coordinated regional and international efforts to strengthen Africa’s role within the United Nations system.

They also reviewed preparations for the upcoming Tunisian-Algerian High Joint Committee meeting in Tunis, aimed at achieving tangible progress in trade, industry, energy, agriculture, and easing residence and movement procedures for citizens of both countries.

The meeting further addressed developments in Libya, with both sides reaffirming support for revitalizing the Tunisian-Algerian-Egyptian mechanism to help advance a Libyan-led political solution.
