Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation signed a mutual visa exemption agreement on Monday during the Saudi-Russian Investment and Business Forum held in Riyadh.
According to Saudi media, the agreement covers all passport types—diplomatic, special, and ordinary—and allows visa-free entry for visits related to tourism, business, or personal trips, permitting stays of up to 90 days.
The agreement reflects the two nations’ intention to facilitate travel, increase exchanges, and strengthen economic, tourism, and cultural cooperation.
However, the exemption does not apply to travelers entering for purposes of work, study, residency, or Hajj, which still require the appropriate visas.
Notably, Russia is the first country with which Saudi Arabia has signed a visa-waiver agreement that includes holders of regular passports.
