Authorities are continuing search operations for three missing fishermen after a fishing boat capsized off the coast of Skhira in the Sfax governorate.
Sassi Alia, head of the Fisheries Development Group in Ghannouch (Gabès), told the Tunis Afrique Presse agency that the coastal fishing vessel had departed from Gabès on Wednesday afternoon, heading toward Skhira, Sfax, to catch blue crabs. The boat was carrying five fishermen when it lost balance and overturned at sea.
Rescue teams managed to save two of the fishermen, while efforts by the Coast Guard, local fishermen, and specialized units continue to locate the remaining three.
