Tunisia Welcomes the New Ambassador of Cuba

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, received on Monday, 8 December 2025, Orlando Requeijo Gual, who presented a copy of his credentials as the new Ambassador of Cuba to Tunisia.

Minister Nafti praised the strong relations between the two countries and affirmed the Ministry’s readiness to support the Ambassador in carrying out his mission. He highlighted Tunisia’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Cuba, particularly in health, pharmaceuticals, higher education, sports, agriculture, chemical fertilizers, and the promotion of Tunisian olive oil.

For his part, Ambassador Requeijo Gual expressed his pride in beginning his duties in Tunisia and emphasized the longstanding ties between the two nations. He conveyed Cuba’s appreciation for Tunisia’s consistent support at the multilateral level and reiterated his country’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation through more high-level exchanges and expanded collaboration across all sectors.
