Tunisia and Algeria Sign 25 Cooperation Agreements at Joint High Committee Session

Tunisia and Algeria signed 25 cooperation agreements, memorandums of understanding, and executive programs on Friday, 12 December 2025, at the Government Palace in the Kasbah. The ceremony, chaired by Tunisian Head of Government , Sarah Zafrani Zenzeri, and Algerian Prime Minister, Saifi Ghrib, marked the conclusion of the 23rd session of the Tunisian-Algerian Joint High Committee.

The agreements span a wide range of strategic sectors, including security, transport, accreditation, diplomacy, media, water management, fisheries, investment, employment, health, culture, youth, sports, and renewable energy.

Key agreements include cooperation on combating money laundering and terrorism financing, joint operation of international passenger transport routes, collaboration between national accreditation bodies, and new partnerships in women and family affairs for 2026–2028. The two countries also signed media cooperation accords between their national television and news agencies, as well as executive programs for sports and youth.

Additional agreements cover water resource management, fisheries development, investment promotion, cultural exchange programs, health cooperation for 2026–2028, pharmaceutical industry collaboration, energy and renewable energy cooperation, and mutual representation in copyright and related rights.

The ceremony concluded with both prime ministers signing the final report of the 23rd session, reaffirming the strong and expanding partnership between Tunisia and Algeria.
