Tunisia to Participate in the Emergency OIC Meeting on Somalia and Palestine

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, will take part in the 22nd Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on January 10, 2026, in Jeddah.

The meeting will focus on recent developments in Somalia following Israel’s recognition of the self-declared “Somaliland” region, as well as the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and related annexation and displacement plans, stated the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

On the sidelines, Minister Nafti is expected to hold bilateral talks with several counterparts to discuss strengthening cooperation and to exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
