Germany’s Lufthansa Group announced plans to equip more than 800 aircraft with SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service, aiming to enhance its premium offerings and improve passenger experience amid growing competition.
The group said Starlink currently provides the fastest in-flight internet available and will be accessible across all travel classes throughout Lufthansa’s fleet. Installation is set to begin in the second half of 2026, with full completion expected by 2029.
