The Tunisian Minister of Transport Rached Amri received, on Thursday 27 November 2025, a delegation representing a group of Chinese companies active in various transport fields. Senior officials from the ministry and several affiliated institutions also attended the meeting.
The Minister praised the strong relations between Tunisia and China, stressing the importance of further developing bilateral cooperation in line with the political will of both countries’ leaderships. He highlighted Tunisia’s openness to leading global markets to benefit from successful experiences in transport—especially in infrastructure development, smart transport systems, and modern technologies—aimed at improving safety, service quality, productivity, and investment.
Minister Amri also underlined Tunisia’s strategic geographic position and skilled national expertise, noting that both can help attract investment and establish strategic partnerships as the two countries expand into new regional and international markets.
During the meeting, Tunisian officials presented an overview of key strategic transport infrastructure projects. The Chinese delegation shared their experience in the sector and expressed strong interest in building fruitful cooperation and contributing to the implementation of these major projects.
