Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, was reportedly killed on Tuesday under mysterious circumstances south of Zintan in western Libya, a source close to the family confirmed.
His political team officially mourned his death, while the 444th Brigade denied any involvement or presence in the city.
Born in 1972, Saif al-Islam was a key figure in Libya before 2011. He had been sentenced to death in 2015 for charges related to the 2011 uprising, though the Libyan Supreme Court later ordered a retrial.
