The latest World Happiness Report has revealed the 10 happiest countries in the world for 2026, with Nordic nations once again dominating the top positions.
According to the report, Finland ranked first for the ninth consecutive year, followed by Iceland in second place and Denmark in third. The ranking was prepared by the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford and published as part of the annual global study.
Costa Rica placed fourth, marking the highest ranking ever achieved by a Latin American country. Nordic countries appeared again in fifth and sixth places, with Sweden and Norway.
Other countries in the top 10 included Netherlands in seventh place, while Luxembourg and Switzerland ranked ninth and tenth respectively.
The United States ranked 23rd this year, followed by Canada in 25th place and the United Kingdom in 29th.
