Saudi Arabia Orders Iranian Military Attaché to Leave Within 24 Hours

Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday that it has ordered the Iranian military attaché at the embassy of Iran, along with his assistant and three other members of the diplomatic mission, to leave the Kingdom within 24 hours after declaring them persona non grata.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia said the decision comes in response to what it described as repeated Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom, Gulf states, and several Arab and Islamic countries.

The ministry strongly condemned what it called Iran’s “blatant aggression” against Saudi Arabia, accusing Tehran of violating international conventions, the principles of good neighborliness, and respect for state sovereignty.
