Tunisia and Libya Agree to Ease Border Crossing Issues

On February 3, 2025, Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti met with his Libyan counterpart, Taher Al-Baour, in Tunis to discuss border movement challenges.

The two officials agreed to resolve issues and lift restrictions hindering smooth transit while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Nafti highlighted the importance of upgrading border facilities and training personnel. He reaffirmed the ongoing coordination between Tunisia and Libya on security, economic, and development matters, stressing their commitment to implementing agreed programs swiftly.
