Tunisia and Romania Renew Civil Protection Cooperation Agreement

As part of the visit of Romania’s State Secretary for Emergency Situations, Raed Arafat, to Tunisia for the Emergency and Natural Disaster Management conference (February 18-20, 2025), Tunisia and Romania renewed their memorandum of understanding on civil protection and security cooperation. The agreement, originally signed on July 27, 2019, was updated and signed on February 19, 2025, at the National Civil Protection School in Jebel Jelloud, in the presence of the Romanian Ambassador to Tunisia, Ciprian Muntean.

This partnership aims to enhance bilateral cooperation through experience exchange and training in key areas such as firefighting and disaster management.
