Tunisian Minister of Interior Attends Border Security Summit in the UK

At the invitation of UK Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, Interior Minister Khaled Nouri visited London with senior officials to attend the Border Security Summit on March 31–April 1, 2025. The event brought together delegations from 46 countries, including 37 ministers, international organizations, and social media platforms to discuss strategies against irregular migration and transnational crime.

In his speech, Minister Nouri stressed the need for stronger international cooperation, particularly in disrupting financial flows linked to migration-related crimes. He urged a partnership-based approach that respects human rights while addressing the root causes of migration, such as economic disparities.

On the sidelines, he met with top officials, including interior ministers from the UK, Italy, Iraq, Austria, France, and Nigeria, as well as the UK Minister of State for Middle East and North Africa affairs.
