From New York, Tunisia and Algeria Reaffirm Strong Bilateral Ties at UNGA

On the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti met on 29 September 2025 with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf.

Both ministers stressed the need to move forward with preparations for upcoming bilateral meetings aimed at enhancing collaboration, particularly in trade, energy, and border management.

They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, including efforts to promote development and peace in Africa and to coordinate positions within Euro-Mediterranean cooperation frameworks.
