5.7-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Indonesia’s Coast

A 5.7-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale struck off the coast of Indonesia early Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake occurred 148 kilometers southwest of Fakfak, Indonesia, at a latitude of 3.373°S and a longitude of 131.034°E, with a depth of 10 kilometers.

So far, no reports of casualties or material damage have been issued.
