Algeria Discovers Rare 4th-Century Roman Coins

Algeria’s Ministry of Culture and Arts announced the discovery and seizure of a valuable archaeological treasure comprising around 10,200 bronze coins dating back to the Roman period, specifically the 4th century AD.

In a statement released on Sunday, the ministry said three additional cultural artifacts were also recovered and are currently undergoing scientific analysis and identification. The operation was carried out as part of national efforts to protect cultural heritage and combat illegal trafficking in antiquities.
