Italy Becomes Tunisia’s Second Largest Trade Partner in 2024

Assabah newspaper reports that Italy has become Tunisia’s second-largest trade partner in 2024, after France, with €1.1 billion in investments and €6 billion in exports.

Around 1,000 Italian companies operate in Tunisia, creating 83,000 jobs. Italy has leveraged Tunisia’s investor-friendly climate and strategic location between Europe and Africa.

According to the report, economic relations between the two countries are expected to grow further this year with the implementation of several joint projects—particularly in the field of renewable energy.
