The official Saudi Press Agency reported today, citing a joint statement, that Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have announced the discovery of a new oil field in the Divided Zone — an area containing oil fields jointly operated by both countries.
According to the agency, this discovery is « the first since the resumption of production operations in the Divided Zone and the adjacent offshore area in mid-2020. »
