Tunisia and India Explore Stronger Trade and Investment Ties

On August 1, 2025, CEPEX CEO Mourad Ben Hussain met with Indian Ambassador Dr. Devyani Uttam Khobragade to discuss strengthening economic cooperation.

In 2024, trade between the two countries reached TND 2.4 billion (USD 800 million), with Tunisia exporting phosphoric acid, olive oil, and dates, and importing vehicles, pharmaceuticals, and textiles from India.

The two sides agreed to boost partnerships in key sectors like chemicals, renewable energy, and agriculture, and to promote business exchanges and joint participation in trade fairs such as IndusFood and Pharma India Expo.
